Coffee Beans Journal is built with your privacy in mind. Your data stays on your device — we do not collect, sell, or share any personal information.
Coffee Beans Journal stores only the information you choose to enter — bean names, origins, roast levels, brew methods, flavour notes, ratings, photos, and brewing observations. This data is stored locally on your iPhone and never transmitted to any server.
If you add a packaging photo, it is stored locally on your device within the app's private storage. Photos are only shared when you explicitly use the backup export feature.
If you choose to export a backup using the iCloud Drive feature, your bean data is saved to your personal iCloud account. This is controlled entirely by you and governed by Apple's iCloud privacy policy. We have no access to your iCloud files.
Coffee Beans Journal contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or tracking of any kind. We do not know how you use the app, how often you open it, or what beans you log.
Coffee Beans Journal requires no account, login, or registration. There is no user profile, no email address collected, and no connection to any online service.
If you purchase the unlimited unlock, this transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs this transaction.
You can delete all your data at any time by deleting the app from your iPhone. This permanently removes all locally stored bean data and photos. There is no server-side data to delete.
Coffee Beans Journal does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no features directed at children.
If we update this privacy policy, the new version will appear here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
